3 Prix Corrida in France.

wins the Swinley Stakes (LR) at Ascot and is now considered a
serious candidate for the Oaks. She is a half-sister to Nowhere to
Exit who won the Prix la Force and was runner up in the French Derby
last year.

heads for the Oaks.

(TROY) A filly by Sadler's Wells - Anima by Ajdal -
Cocotte (a half sister to Pilsudski) sets a record price at the
Tattersall's Breeze-Up two-year old sales of 125,000 Guineas. This
is the first six-figure price ever at the sales and the filly was
bought by a client to race in the UK or Ireland..

(TROY) Walensee's daughter War Game (Caerleon - Walensee
by Troy) wins the Listed Prix de la Pepiniere on only her second
outing. The four-year-old is the first stakes winner out of Champion
3yo filly Walensee, who herself won the Prix Vermeille in 1985.

(TROY) Oath's
sale to Japan as a stallion is confirmed. Bought for US$8 million
(pounds 4.9 million), he will stand at Yushun Farm. Oath is the
second top-class horse out of a Troy mare to stand in Japan,
following Pilsudski's retirement there in 1997.

Stakes in Ireland.

(Tropular - Reggae) taken during my recent visit to the Haras de Cluny in
France, where he is currently standing as a stallion.
(TROY) Shining War (Shining Steel - Guerre de Troie, by Risk Me -
Troyes) listed placed in France. Her dam is a half-sister to Tromond, dam of this year's
Prix du Jockey-Club runner up Nowehere to Exit.
June 1999
(TROY) STOP PRESS!!! Janestra, from the first crop of
Steamer Duck (Bering - Lavender Mist by Troy), a former Italian two-year-old champion, finishes second
in the Italian Oaks (Gr. 1), providing the Italian-based stallion with a top-class horse
from only a small foal crop.
(TROY) Caballero (Cadeaux Genereux - On Tiptoes by Shareef Dancer -
Pennyweight by Troy) is listed placed in the UK. His dam won the Queen Mary stakes over 5f
at Royal Ascot as a two year old, despite having an Irish Derby winner and a Derby winner
as her sire and damsire!

by Lomond - Troyes
by Troy) almost does
the double, finishing second in the French Derby (Prix du Jockey Club).
(TROY) 5th June 1999, Oath Wins the Epsom Derby! Almost 20 years
to the day after Troy's seven-length victory in the 200th Blue Riband, his grandson
Oath (Fairy King-Sheer
Audacity by Troy) takes
the Epsom Derby himself. Winning by a length, this follows the victory of
Ragmar
(Tropular-Reggae) in the 1996 French
Derby as the second European middle distance classic to fall to a grandson of Troy. More

(TROY) Nowhere To Exit (Exit To Nowhere - Tromond by Lomond -
Troyes
by Troy), wins the Prix La Force in
France to put himself in the picture for the Prix du Jockey-Club (French Derby). His dam,
a listed-placed winner, was out of Troyes, an own sister to the useful New Trojan from the
family of Hellenic, Reform and Fastness.
(TROY) Oath (Fairy King -
Sheer
Audacity), a half brother to Pelder, Napoleon's Sister and Sheer Danzig,
wins the Dee Stakes at Chester, a recognised Derby Trial, to put himself in the picture
for Epsom.
